We at the Treatyist manages our intellectual property to make our relationship with our advertisers as positive as possible. Because of the automatic nature of internet advertising, we occasionally wind up with an advertisement that is completely at odds with our message. These contrarian advertisements are accidental to the advertiser, waste their money and our brand.
To prevent this, the Treatyist has implemented a courtesy list. A courtesy list is just a list of blocked advertisers that you can insert into your own site's advertising block list. For us, this prevents Google from serving advertisements from any sources. Our message is not diluted, and these advertisers do not waste their money.
Of course, there may be some organizations below that wish to communicate their message to our readers. We feel that there are other ways to do this that are more appropriate. We could do interviews, cross site debates, to name a few. Interested parties should contact us directly.
We obviously block Democrats and Democrat proxy sites and media mouthpieces. We block many union sites for this reason, although we do allow some. The Teamsters supported Reagan, the Pipefitters support nuclear power, and we think there's a lot more to Detroit's meltdown than just the UAW, so those sites remain unblocked.
We want to reform trade, so pure free trade advocacy groups and importers are blocked. Some otherwise right wing sites fall on our list for this reason. We also block most makes of imported cars.
We do not agree that socialism or political radicalism is the answer to environmental concerns, so we block some environmental groups.
Here's our list. Feel free to adopt it for your right leaning web site. We'll periodically update it.
